Second week of school but my seven kids came back everyday looking tired and gloomy. Some admitted they slept during class and had no concentration. Milo and cereals devoured within days as these seven mean eating machines always comes back hungry and starved. My pocket drained merciless! What am I to do?
I've always believed that what we eat for breakfast determines the wellness of our body and soul throughout the day. Especially important for growing kids...and boy, I have seven of them! So I started experimenting on some breakfast diet....something light and lasting, something kids can carry to school...
Flapjacks!!!...Fruity Oat Flapjacks!....It has rolled oat, caramel, dried fruits and sultanas with a touch of coconut! It is slow energy release, fibremendously phat!( full of fibre)...and it tastes awesome!...the kids love it, my friends and family love it and the next thing I know, I'm baking 8 trays a day supplying energy bars not only to the kids but also to their friends and families! Its cheaper than the imported breakfast bars you can find in Giant or Tesco...(havent found locally produced ones), my kids selling it at school for RM1.80 per pc. They call it the "B-Bars".
